Purchased new about 18 years ago and barely played after that. Wood, varnish, and imitation ivory mounts are almost perfect - blowstick needs to be cleaned to bring back the shine. War-Mac poly chanter that has not been carved and reed cap. Well padded hard case. Things to replace: mouthpiece, reeds, old hide bag.

This instrument tunes easily and sounds good - as expected from a set of Shepherd pipes. But, at some point in its life this instrument had the bass middle section replaced. The turning is close enough that it is not obvious without close inspection. The beading & combing is in good shape. There are a couple of small chips on the ring caps (outside tenor & bass) and a couple of small dings on the wood of the bell on the outside tenor.
