Duncan Soutar

This chanter is a bit more comfortable for those with very small hands and it plays just about in tune with the standard and long Soutar practice chanters. It is a bit hard to tell in the picture - the finger holes are counter-sunk just a bit to make them easier to feel but not so much that they are hard for small fingers to cover.

A really nice sounding standard white poly practice chanter with counter-sunk finger holes.  Comes with one Soutar practice chanter reed. All the reeds I carry work in this chanter.  The Soutar reed takes the least amount of air and, to me, sounds the best in it. The Gibson reeds will put up with more moisture and give you a longer playing time between reed changes or clean-outs. Picture is of the white long practice chanter.  The standard chanter has a nickle ferrule and a button sole.
